Delight Your Child With Online Children’s Clothing

The days are long gone when fashion was only for adults. In today’s world the majority of children are very aware of what is fashionable. A lot of young people are greatly influenced by what they see on television, which makes them picky as to what clothes they will wear. A number of years ago, when one of the very well known names in fashion held a children’s fashion show, a lot of people raised their eyebrows. But today, things have changed, and there are hundreds of well known designers who make stylish clothing for children. The world of fashion has found a new market.

Watching Hollywood gossip shows and seeing stylish celebrities out and about with their well dressed sons and daughters, makes it hard not to want to dress your child in the same manner. In these current times dressing for success is a must Every single day there are hundreds of new products and services launched and the attendant millions of dollars spent to get us to buy these items is staggering. It is no different in the fashion industry.

Not too long ago, I saw a commercial on the small screen for a famous children’s outerwear brand. The images of stylish, photogenic children cavorting happily in their designer jackets and pants, made me realize that advertising really works. Most likely you have seen comparable ads that professionally promote the most popular lines of children’s wear.

Children today are extremely knowledgeable and particular regarding the clothing that they will and will not wear. It is difficult to impose your choice of clothing on your child. You can thank Hollywood movies for children wanting to wear exactly the same type of clothing as their favorite actors. A popular television show called Teen Rock Bands has also had a very big influence on children because of the popular and funky designs that the musicians wear.

Finding children’s play clothing or dressy outfits at wholesale prices is not an overly difficult task. The best place to start your shopping is on the internet. There are a variety of online stores that offer a wide range of children’s clothing from fleece and linen pants, to stylish jackets and designer shirts. Don’t forget to look online for sales at the end of the season as well. There is such a large variety of styles, patterns, and colors available, that you are sure to find something pleasing for your child.

I recommend buying your children’s clothing wholesale instead of spending hundreds of dollars on overpriced department store designer clothes, or at children’s boutiques. Many online clothing companies sell clothing for children at rock-bottom prices. Just do an online search and you will discover a virtual mall for your child that has the best clothing at the very best prices. With just a few mouse clicks, you can select and purchase a fresh new wardrobe of hot designer outfits that will delight your child.

What Makes Strong and Nurturing Families?

Human beings have the longest dependency on others than any other living creature. We spend our lives in relationships, either toxic or nurturing. If the family of origin was not supportive and loving, we either repeat that pattern or look for other mentors and teachers.

Can you visualize a closed fist as opposed to an open hand? That is the difference between a closed and dysfunctional group and a learning, sharing and supportive one.

The closed one is turned inward and harsh in judgment and expectations. The open one is welcoming and willing to help others as well as receive help.

Closed or Open Families

When we look at families, either of birth or deliberate connection, we admire and wish to emulate, there are usually a number of variables present in the makeup. One or more are usually absent from a closed or dysfunctional family organizations.

1. Open communication. The members are free to express opinions and make mistakes without losing love. They talk often and freely express feelings and emotions. They look for new ways to encourage each other and don’t just do what has always been done. The family members ask for help, forgiveness and support when it is needed.

2. A sense of “us”. A family is made up of individuals with different needs and abilities. Those individuals form a synergy where the sum of the parts is greater than each one alone. The members of the family know that someone “has their back” and will support their endeavors.

3. Boundaries and guidance. Boundaries and rules of society are not to keep others out, but to keep us safe by understanding the limits of acceptable and unacceptable behavior.

4. Mutual respect. Strong families provide a sense of shared history and traditions. The family actively teaches and models morals, ethics and respect for others.

5. Affectionate and loving. Parents and families who only touch by pushing or pulling do not recognize the value of a loving and kind pat on the head, hug or kiss. Words and actions of love and acceptance are experienced daily in strong families and then radiated out to the world.

6. A sense of optimism and hope for the future. Families that are connected are strong in good times and bad. They model positive coping strategies and recognize life lessons in occasional failures.

Can you and your family change, even if negative patterns have been established over a long period of time? The answer is yes. The more we know, the more we grow.

Notes to My Parent-From Your Child

What does your child really need from you besides food, shelter and love? Are you struggling with your confidence as a parent? Do you sometimes feel like you are not doing enough to help your child become a responsible member of society?

Do you wish your child could put into words what he or she really needs each day in order to feel safe, secure and ready to learn?

Well, I know how you feel. I have felt frustrated and discouraged as a mom and grandmother of young children. As a parent educator and family coach, I have found that parents all over the world wish they knew what the most important things to do each day are.

I made a small list for busy parents from information I have learned from experience, observation and study. If your toddler or young child could communicate what he needs to you, these are a few of the things he or she would share.

1. I need your encouragement and your praise to grow. Please go easy on the criticism. Remember, you can criticize the things I do without criticizing me. There is a big difference between the “deed” and the “doer.” It is the misbehavior that causes you to have a headache, not me as a person.

2. Allow me to make as many choices in life as I can. Give me the freedom to make decisions concerning myself. If you tell me what to do, wear, say and think, how will I ever become an independent individual and contribute to society. That doesn’t mean I am in charge of the house, but I can choose between the red shirt and the blue one.

3. Please don’t do things over for me. Somehow that makes me feel that my efforts didn’t quite measure up to your expectations. I know it’s hard, but please don’t try to compare me with my brother or my sister.

4. Model good relationships and self-respect for me. I want you to teach me how to be a friend, worker, spouse and parent. Teach me ways to resolve conflict and solve problems.

I imitate what you do by what I see more than what I hear you say. Don’t let me model my life after what I am learning on TV.

5. Don’t give me everything I ask for. Say no and stick to your guns. Remember you are the parent and teacher and you need to teach me to delay gratification.

If there is something I really, really want then help me to work and save for it. Help me learn the value of money and time.

Respect versus Ridicule-Giving Feedback

Your intention is to motivate a child or employee to do better. You are clear in your mind what you want to achieve and the behavior that you want changed. You expect to be listened to and obeyed! You are right and they are wrong. Someday, they will be grateful that you cared enough to show them what they were doing incorrectly.

Sound familiar? When a situation calls for feedback, we tend to justify our position and come at the situation from a power standpoint. This tends to put the other person in a defensive status and what may have started out as a visit turns into a confrontation, with words and emotions expressed that are not helpful.

Criticism is Hurtful

Ridiculing someone is to mock by making fun or dismissing them in a contemptuous way. Sometimes the ridicule may be verbal as in a criticism; “You just can’t get this through your thick head, can you?” The disrespect may be done in a completely non-verbal but powerful way; rolling your eyes, crossing your arms and leaning back, smirking or looking away when the other person is talking.

Feedback is Helpful

Feedback is intended to provide helpful information for future decisions and development. If you feel that you need to offer pointers on how something should be done, first ask if they would like feedback. If it is offered without judgment or personal attacks, most people will welcome, or at least receive it.

Using the old sales jargon, you can sell any idea without making the recipient feel badly. “I know you feel that it was a hard assignment. I have felt that way when I was asked to do something for the first time and I didn’t understand the instructions. However, I found that when I went back and read the instructions or ask for an explanation, it was much easier and I was able to understand what the boss wanted and was able to do it.”

What’s Right, Not What’s Wrong

If you want positive behavior with your family and friends, encourage what is good and downplay what is wrong or unacceptable. When you focus on something, right or wrong, you will get more of it. It is called the Law of Attraction.

Verbal or spoken language is the communication of information. Most people only remember about 20% of what is said. Non verbal or body language is the communication of relationships. People look at your facial expressions to see how you really feel about what you are saying and the person you are saying it to. They listen to your tone of voice to gauge how sincere you are.

Mutual respect is foundation of strong, healthy relationships

As you work with your family relationships, you will see that criticism and ridicule does not give you the positive results you were hoping for. Respect and kind feedback is much more effective at motivating people and projects than criticism and ridicule.

Enjoying The Teenage Life

Teenage years are the most exciting, enjoyable, and memorable time in a person’s life. As a teenager, having fun is always on the top of your mind. Being young and full of energy, you always want to spend more time with friends and keep busy with social activities. You want to be free and independent. You are in an enviable stage where everything seems to go you way.

Enjoying your teenage life is great, but what is truly important is that you are learning from every experience you have. Living a teen’s life is a bit complicated. You are virtually on your own now, and it is up to you to decide what you do. Managing your life needs a lot of effort. Proper organization and prioritizing can be stressful. Here are some few tips to help you live your teenage life to the fullest.

Try to keep a list of the things you have to do each day. This will help you to avoid wasting your time on things that are less important.

Learn to take care of yourself by staying clean and well groomed. Also, try to eat a healthy, balanced diet. Taking care of your body will help you avoid health problems and keep you feeling great.

Be positive, and try to be open-minded. Make an effort to show confidence by participating in class discussions and activities. In addition, now is the best time to learn how to begin a conversation with people.

Always be yourself. Do not pretend to be someone else. Instead, try to do things to improve who you are. Do not compare yourself with others. Every person is unique, and you need to remember how special you are.

Find out what interests you the most. It may be a sport, or a fashion style. Being able to decide what is of interest to you will help you love and enjoy what you do.

Never to forget, do your homework. If there is something you do not understand, find someone you can ask for help. Talking with somebody who knows more than you will help you to understand it better.

Try to have fun with your friends. It is not necessary for you to have a hundred friends to be happy. All you really need is a close group with a few friends you can talk to and spend time.

Do not pressure yourself to live up to anyone’s standard but your own. Just do what you can do. Try your best and in the end, your hard work will pay off.
Try not to worry on what other people may say about you. Their opinions are not important; it is just a waste of time.

As you try to consider these tips, realize how important it is to enjoy life now and learn things that will help you prepare for a promising future.

Kids Who Graduate Too Early

Kids who think that they need to get out of school faster to get them a job or just to get out need to think of how it’s going to affect them later in life. It will be hard for you to get a good job and if you are skipped up a grade or grades, you may have to get a G.E.D so you can get into college. It can be hard for some people to get a G.E.D because they did not learn all the stuff that they need to know and if you did know some of it, it can be hard to remember it again. If you had done this, you will want to go back in time and kick yourself for what you had done.

You need to tell your kids to stay in school so they can get smart, so they get to learn new things, and so they can do what they want to do when they grow up. Tell them that school is important because you have to know how to do math, read, spell, write, and the other stuff that the teacher will teach you because you will have to use all of these things throughout your whole life. Schools and kids are up in smoke because they drop out or they just don’t want to be there. They might think that they don’t need it, but that is not true at all. When they get older, they will think a lot differently about what they have done and they will hate themselves for not going all the way through school.

The whole situation is somewhat ironic. Kids want to get out of school so bad because they don’t like it and later as adults they want to go back so they can get more out of life and to get more money. I know a lot of people that are trying to go back to school because their lives are not going the way that they wanted to, and they are doing it for themselves and for their family as well to give them a better life and make up for the mistakes that they have made. It also makes them feel good about themselves to know that they are doing something about it, and they can even open up their own business that they can feel proud of or help save lives by becoming a doctor or a nurse.

The Kinds Of Toys Kids Love

There are so many toys for your kids this Christmas or their birthdays that they would love to get. Action figures that are from movies or TV shows that they watch all the time are available. They go crazy when they see them in stores, and they beg you to get them so they can play with them at home or with their friends. These toys keep them entertained for hours and sometimes they want to play with them all day. They want to have them at the table with them when they are eating, play with them in the bath tub, take their toys with them when they go on long trips, and take them to their friend’s house when they are sleeping over. Parents can play with their kids when there are no other kids around to play with.

There are many different kinds of toys out there: Dragons that shoot fire out its mouth or dinosaurs that have armor on their bodies and weapons that can be a flame thrower, web blaster, or a gun that shoots out darts. There are action figures like Spiderman, Superman, soldiers, Iron Man, the heroes from the X-men, Hulk, Batman, and many more that your boys would love to play with. They also have a racetrack that your kids can race their cars on. They have some that have rings of fire that your kids can make their cars go through.

They have videos games that they can play. They can fight other people, shoot at the enemies, fight monsters that shoot fire at them, and kill monsters that are invading the planet. There are many kinds of video games, and there will be a specific type that your kids will love.

They can even play with Barbie dolls and all of its wonderful accessories. Adults play these games, too, and they have fun playing with their kids. There are Barbie dolls, baby dolls, and super hero characters, such as Catwoman, Supergirl, and Batgirl. There are also stuffed animals, a baking oven that allows them to cook real cookies and cakes, houses, cars, and lots more. Little girls love to walk around with dolls. They think that their doll is their baby so they take it everywhere with them. Some girls like to play with their brothers because they like what their brothers like because they prefer different toys to play with. Some girls like to play with dollhouses because they can play house or make it a party house for the girl who likes to party a lot.

Dealing With The Fire Of Grief

When a person or family loses a loved one, sometimes the grief felt with the loss of this loved one will make that person’s soul to feel like the fire has gone out of their body because they will feel really cold sometimes. Have you ever gone to a cemetery, walked on a grave, and felt goose bumps develop on your body? The funny thing about this is that you don’t even have to know the person’s name that is on the headstone to have this happen. It happens to people all of the time.

Some people just have more trouble in dealing with the loss. They might either bottle it up inside so that no one will see the hurt that they feel, or they might do something very foolish and stupid, like trying to start a fight with a friend in a bar after they have had one too many. One’s grief is nothing to be embarrassed of, as it must be dealt with as soon as possible. If you do not and you let it stay bottled up inside of you, you will have it hanging over your shoulder to have it show up at maybe the wrong time.

Some people might become so overwhelmed by this loss that they might need to seek the help of some counseling to better understand the reasons behind this terribly upsetting problem or problems that maybe your family and friends just can’t seem to help you overcome. These kinds of people don’t usually like to air out their dirty laundry, so to speak, as this person might have wanted to say they were sorry to this lost one but never got the chance. Maybe something bad happened to them in their youth that had kept them apart with neither one being able to apologize for their wrongdoing or even goodbye.

A lot of times, young people might be hit with more reasons for grief over the loss of a loved one because they might not have been able to attend the funeral. They could have been living with the other parent in a different state, or they weren’t even told about it until it was too late and they weren’t able to say goodbye. If this happens and they come over for a visit, ask if they would like to be taken to the grave. Then let them have some time alone so that they can say goodbye because this will help them come to terms with the loss.

How to Keep You Kid Entertained With Toys

It’s not very hard to keep a kid entertained with something to play with. In this electronic age every toy seems to require batteries or software in order to work. However, kid’s toys don’t have to be sophisticated in order to be fun. Toys that require thinking and the imagination are the best toys that help aide the child in mental development.

Sudoku for kids and connect four both require critical thinking in order to win. This is precisely what parents should be looking for. Games that rely on chance won’t do much to benefit a child. A game of chess or checkers on the other hand can be very beneficial. I will be discussing a few kinds of toys and games that aide in stimulating children to learn more.

Puzzles
When trying to find inexpensive, fun and educational games, puzzles rank pretty high on the list. This game helps build up hand eye coordination for children and adults alike. The end result of this is a nice fully complete puzzle that you put together yourself. It’s a testament of what the human mind can develop in a short amount of time. Children will enjoy the independence that comes along with constructing a puzzle. This is very important early on in life and puzzles actually strengthen the process.

Building models
Model kits are readily available in most of the world’s toys stores. However, due to computer and video games, these types of toys are no longer as popular as they once were. In any event, kid’s can build their own cars, planes and boats from scratch using these kits.

Many of these kits are priced below $20.00 and generally don’t require adult supervision. All that’s needed is the kit and the child’s imagination in order to produce a lifelike model that will last for years. Advanced electric models have hit the market for older children approaching their teens. These models are not only for display but are meant to be played with after they are built. Walking robots, moving cars and trains can all be built.

Cards
Flash card games that incorporate math, language and/or science into the play are a good investment. Not only will your child be kept busy but they will also be learning at the same time. These card games are regularly used to teach students in school due to their effectiveness. The cost is very little or nothing at all if you make them. This would be a good afternoon activity for a child to do instead of watching television. First they could take some sheets of paper and write the questions and answers on them, then the cards can been used to test them.

Whether it is a puzzle, flash cards or models, there are plenty of educational games available for kid’s. Don’t fall into the technology trap by buying games for children that require starring at a screen. Instead, remember that no matter how much technology we develop, children can always be taught using simple old fashion toys.

Now more than ever, kids are losing their attention spans by spending countless hours in front of the television or by being on the computer. In most cases this only provides a temporary distraction that offers the child very little. Why not consider an educational toy for your child the next time you are out shopping?

Educational Kids Toys That Promote Physical Activity

Kids toys seem to evolve with each generation, especially with the introduction of modern technology. This factor can influence the way that you choose your kids toys. If you want to avoid wasting your money on toys that your kids will ignore, do not automatically buy the toy that you liked the best when you were a kid.

If you do, chances are good that this replay of your childhood days may end in frustration or you may end up playing with the toy to show your kid how you used to have fun with the toy, which could turn into a lame situation quickly, depending on the toy. You will need either an ultra fantastic toy or a traditional favorite toy to pull this off successfully. Examples of such traditional toys include the ball, doll and miniature replica toys including vehicles and household items. The entertainment ante has been raised in the toys arena since the introduction of electronics.

Especially for children who regularly watch TV, there may be a greater desire for new fashioned toys instead of the traditional toys. Electronic toys, handheld games, video game systems and other interactive toys attract the attention of many children. It is not always the best thing to cater to such wants.

Before deciding on the best toy for any child, it is important to think about different factors. These factors will allow you to zero in on the type of toy that will best suit your child. To make a good choice in a kids toy, you will need to consider the child’s age, interests, skill level and their favorite things including color.

When you have considered the factors that will influence a child’s level of interest in the toy, you are ready to choose a toy that will have the greatest benefit for your child. The toys that are the best for your kids are toys that promote physical activity, are educational or have both qualities. You can then choose a toy that is played with one player, many players or teams.

If you want to add more physical activity to your child’s life through toys, you can do so. This is a healthier alternative to relying on sedentary forms of children’s entertainment. There are card games, board games, video games and activity games that will increase a child’s movement instead of hindering it.

Many kids toys are educational. The most fun educational kids toys are related to science, reading, math, art, music and crafts. These toys offer a hands on way of learning that is fun for different age groups. Educational toys can enhance a child’s hand and eye coordination while engaging the mind.

These types of toys can complement, enrich and expand on concepts being taught in the child’s school curriculum. Despite being educational, these toys can be truly enjoyable and engaging when the toy is appropriate for the child.

With some forethought, you can choose a great kids toy that will satisfy your desire for a toy that has real benefits for your child. A kids toy is best enjoyed when it is chosen because it appeals to a child personally in some way. Your kids toy has extra value when it is educational or promotes a physically active lifestyle.
